With nearly 1.5 million visitors in 2006, the Paris of Paris has become the most visited exhibition in the world at the Tokyo and Frankfurt. The 2008 edition, which opened on October 4, promises to be an unmissable event with lots of new revelation and the arrival of the Abarth brand and Infiniti.
Practical information
The Paris Motor Show will open from October 4 to October 19, 2008, still the exhibition of the Porte de Versailles in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. No fewer than 300 brands from 23 countries worldwide are expected on the ground in Paris this year, spread over a total area of 80,000 sqm.
The exhibition will welcome you Tuesday to Friday from 10h to 22h and from Saturday to Monday from 10am to 20pm. As in 2006, admission to the World will cost € 12 but a new tariff will allow young 10-18 years pay only € 6.
To enter the exhibition from the Paris area, we recommend taking public transportation more convenient and less expensive than the car (parking is very expensive).
Several means are available to you:
- The Metro (line 12, Porte de Versailles)
- Tram (line T3, Porte de Versailles)
- RER (line C, station Boulevard Victor)
- The bus (lines 39 or 80, get off at Porte de Versailles).
The Paris Motor Show draws crowds, especially on weekends when the stands are usually black with people. To avoid the rush, opt for weekday and evening (until 22h). Also consider buying your ticket in advance on the official website of the World, this will avoid wasting time in queues.
A World full of animations
The new space "pole Prestige" in Hall 5/1 will be the biggest news of the 2008 edition. It will bring together ten of the most luxurious brands in the automotive sector.
The stars of the animated film Cars are also honored this year. Join Lightning McQueen and his friends four-wheel-size near Hall 8!
Like every year, the World devote Hall 8 at a special exhibition. This year were "Taxis in the world" who will be honored. Visitors will discover or rediscover 40 vehicles around the world that marked their era.
Finally, a sign that morals evolve, the traditional "off-road space" is replaced by an initiation center for Eco-driving, much in the era of time. But rest assured that the children, they can still discover the thrill of karting ... power in Hall 7/1.
