Dacia Dokker: Suite Lodgique!.

Hardly born, comes in the Lodgy utility. But surprisingly, also in MPV with door (s) sliding rear (s) and deflated prices. A threat to the Kangoo?

The compact MPV is Lodgy concession since March that already chained Dacia MPV with a variation: the Dokker.

The faces are identical, the shield around. But for different lengths of complementary uses.

Long (4.50 m), the Lodgy seats up to seven passengers. Shorter (4.36 m), but above, the Dokker is built for loading. Everyone plays a part.

Volume

Designed primarily for professionals who opt for hard top version called Dokker Van (see below), the MPV Dacia sees the big picture.

Although it is cut by 14 cm at the door to rear overhang - the wheelbase is the same (2.81 m) - it makes up a pavilion above 13 cm.

With 1.81 m below the fathom, the Dokker engulfed 800 liters in five-seat configuration and up to 3000 liters with the rear seats folded.

Bigger, the better necessarily Lodgy offers five seats (827 liters) but is beaten to the maximum capacity (2617 liters).

Door to door

Unlike conventional Lodgy adorned with sashes, the Dokker relies on sliding side doors. There will be two from the second level of trim.

But one of the basic version, on the right flank, to keep below € 9000. There is therefore no access to the rear seat on the left side.

A process that takes us back fifteen years ago, launches the first generation Berlingo, Partner and Kangoo who democratized, one by one, the use of sliding doors.

And no tailgate

Market-driven

So why the Dokker did he not return to the tailgate Lodgy? Two reasons.

Unbeatable?

Yet the court Dokker range, do not be ashamed to compete.

In terms of side doors, exterior dimensions and loading capacity, he is on a par with the twins Citroen Berlingo / Peugeot Partner and Fiat Doblo / Opel Combo.

Rivals who start at rates almost twice as high! Another coup for Dacia.

At the expense of the Renault Kangoo?

By April, it has anticipated the threat Dokker by lying to 4.60 m to become Grand Kangoo (see below).

The new and old

The range of engines from gasoline Dokker aligns with that of Lodgy.

It begins with an "antique" block 1.6 to 85 hp air.

But which is justified especially as, equivalent equipment, the gap widens between a tariff and a Dokker Lodgy. Let it be said, the enemy of Dokker this is not the Lodgy.

Van Dokker: replaces Logan Van
