After spyshots warning, the updating of the BMW 3 Series Coupe and Convertible is now official, the following 15 months apart than the sedan, which took place in September 2008. As is usual in high-end German manufacturers, the external alterations are minor, so do not give the impression to the owners of Phase 1 to have a car suddenly obsolete in the hands while the changes are internal heavier, just to raise a possible desire for change anyway.
E92 3 Series gets a new bumper so, new side skirts and new optical discreetly modernized, and most importantly, new engines. Bulk, customers can qualify for an entry-level 318i features a 2.0L 143-hp (Coupe and Cabriolet) and 316d (115 hp) for the Touring wagon.
At the other end, the 6-cylinder 335i adopts 3.0l Twin Turbo Direct Injection (and Valvetronic) still providing 306ch and 400 Nm but not consuming more than 8.4l/100km (!) (Junior) for a release CO2 of 196 g / km (8.8l and 205 gr for the convertible). Better still, the 320d Efficient Dynamics Edition (2.0l 163ch) suggests a figure of 4.1l/100km and 109 g / km of CO2!
