The public debut of the new Donkervoort, the D8 GT, took place at the Geneva Motor Show 2007. Since then, not much. There has been talk of her competing in the GT4 class. And that's about all.
No concern as long as the horizon Donkervoort announced, supporting photographs, it goes into production for first deliveries in the month of June.
This new Donkervoort, whose study began in 2004, has a weight disconcerting, but remarkable for a car contemporary: only 650 kg (the 17-inch wheels each weigh 6.5 kg). Compared to a conventional D8, the GT sees its wheelbase increased by 8 cm. Several variants of the 1.8-liter 4-cylinder turbo, original Audi are available: 180 hp, 210 hp or 270 hp.
The D8 GT will be manufactured at 50 copies per year and sold and costs 90,000 euros before tax in its basic version.
