At the Tokyo Motor Show, Mazda introduced the new Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid (also known as the Mazda5 Hydrogen RE Hybrid). The manufacturer boasts its improvements and its progress against the Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE. The new Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid has indeed a power increase of 40%. Result: the acceleration is better, even instantaneous (the pedal is touched and go!) And autonomy increased to 200 km (compared to the RX-8 Hydrogen RE, it was multiplied by 2!). Seating is also increased to 5 and the trunk volume has increased.
The hydrogen rotary engine is transversely and not longitudinally. On admission and exhaust, there is less resistance. The hybrid system, attached to the rotary engine efficiently converts energy from hydrogen combustion into electricity that powers the electric motor. The yield is higher and thus the consumption is lower. The cloth seats and plastic trim are made of biological material Mazda Biotechmaterial. The goal: to finalize these materials as soon as possible for their future marketing!
