Shaoying Cui pursued her academic studies in Polymer Research Institute of Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, where she obtained her Ph.D. in June 2020. In the academic year 2018/2019, she studied as a visiting scholar at the Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Her research focused on polymer processing and high-performance functional polymer composites. After her Ph.D., she joined Wiley as Assistant Editor of Advanced Engineering Materials, Journal of Applied Polymer Science and Engineering Reports.
报告摘要：
A highly competitive research environment with increasingly limited research funding has created a “Publish or Perish” attitude among scientists who are judged on both the quantity and the quality of their research articles. This presentation provides a brief overview of Wiley and its journals, scientific publishing, editorial workflow handled by in-house editor and what happens after acceptance. Tips will be presented on surviving pre-screening and peer review process, writing a good cover letter and maximizing the impact of your published work. Some useful resources will be shared.
